Warm Weather Fun - Carnivals and Baseball

With warm weather came some fun times! Dean got to go to the carnival and ride rides, and went to see his cousins play ball. He wasn't sure about the rides, but he didn't cry. He just took it all in. He had fun with his buddies Kai, Regan, and Angie though!

Bunnies and Ducks - Easter 2013

We got ducks in time for Easter this year. Dean had fun watching them grow up and releasing them into the pond. I made cupcakes for his class, and peeps for the front yard. 

 

See below for pinterest ideas on these. My mom used her cricut to cut the white wrappers and I drew on the faces. The peeps were made from foam from Micheal's craft store.  

Grandmother turns 90!

We had a little party for my Grandmother on my father's side. She turned the big 9-0! Dad says she will outlive us all!

Valentines 2013

Dean got a treat this Valentine's Day and showed some love to his teachers with a snack!

For his classmates, I printed the card and put it in the round favor bags from walmart with Goldfish. We also send chocolate dipped heart-shaped marshmallows on a stick for a snack. Kids liked them, me not so much. The were cute, but not too tasty to me. I put white chocolate chex mix in a large mason jar and painted the top, added some ribbon and twine for a simple little teacher's gift. See below for the recipe and valentine idea. I saw many different versions of the dipped marshmallows, below is one similar.
