Dean's Having a Ball 2nd Birthday

Dean's favorite word as a one year old was "Ball". Every time he saw one, he'd repeat "ball" over and over. That is why his second birthday party theme was "Having a Ball." And we did! He invited friends from daycare this year, and many showed up. This party was easy, we scattered all sizes of blow up beach balls and used his summertime pool as a ball pit. The kids loved it! I made the cake from the wilton sports ball cake pan, and I used pretzel m&ms to top the cupcakes. All food was ball related, including a cheese ball, sausage balls, and cheese puff balls. I got the green ones from Target, made for Halloween. (Note: Keep cheese puffs in container until the last minute. I put mine in the cupcake wrappers an couple of hours early, and they got a tad stale. Good thing I had extras!)

Here is the board I used to collect ideas in my planning process. Some I used; some I didn't.

Beach Birthday Boy

We luckily got asked back to the beach on Dean's birthday. We had a Monsters University cake for Dean to celebrate him turning 2. He loved the time at the beach and having his cousins back with him.We had fun at the Hangout for his birthday dinner, and went by the USS Alabama for a tour on the way home.

Dustin is 30

Dustin turned thirty this year. We had dinner at Lost Pizza in Grenada. For his birthday present, he and Dean had their first train rides.  They both enjoyed it! We rode down to Jackson for lunch, shopping, dinner, and a movie.

Beach Birthday

Not only did I get to spend Mother's Day on the beach but also got to go down on my birthday for our July Fourth family vacation. Dean got to spend the week with Andrew and Conner. He loved it. It was quite windy this year. We got to see Sully and Mike in Monsters University. Dean fell asleep, but he like it. We had rainy days, so we also saw Despicable Me 2 and deal loved that! He did so good in the water, even kicked around by himself.
